Rigid biobased polycarbonates with good processability based on a spirocyclic diol derived from citric acid

Abstract: A bicylic diketone is derived from citric acid and readily ketalized with trimethylolpropane to produce a spirodiol monomer for rigid, high-molecular weight, melt processable biobased polycarbonates.
