Role of Ecological Marketing in Formation and Development of Ecological Cluster

Purpose: The purpose of this work is to assess the nature and extent of the social consequences of the downturn in business activity, as well as to predict the new context of sustainable development in the context of the 2020 economic crisis in developing countries. Design/Methodology/Approach : Regression analysis is used to assess the impact of the social context on the sustainable development of developing economies. It determines the dependence of the manifestations of sustainable economic development on indicators of the social context of sustainable development - the level of poverty, social inequality (Gini coefficient) and average consumption per capita. To assess the social consequences of the decline in business activity in the context of the 2020 economic crisis, forecasts are made “all other things being equal” on the basis of arithmetic and standard deviations for 2019. The worst of the reasonably probable values are determined, which are substituted into the multiple linear regression equations to determine the new context of sustainable development. Findings : It has been proven that the new social context will be linked to the pronounced negative effects on sustainable development in developing countries. The sustainable development index will decline by 4.64%, GDP per capita by 104.42%, and global competitiveness by 7.38%. Originality/Value : It is shown that the social consequences of the decline in business activity in the context of the 2020 economic crisis in developing countries will be associated with an increase in poverty by 295.93%, an increase in social inequality (Gini coefficient) by 64.93% and a decrease in average per capita consumption by 60.25%. As a result, there will be an overall decline in sustainable development indicators by an average of 11.26%. Therefore, the new context of sustainable development requires active crisis management measures aimed at overcoming the «institutional trap» of alternating business downturn and demand reduction.

The Impact of the 2020 Crisis on Imbalances in the World Economy: Problems of Balance and Prospects for Sustainable Development

Purpose: The purpose of this work is to study the impact of the 2020 crisis on imbalances in the world economy from the point of view of the problem of its balance and the prospects for its sustainable development. Design/methodology/approach : The methodology of this study is to predict and scenario the values of the indicators of sustainable development highlighted in chapter 2 of this book, as well as to compare the difference between developed and developing countries in each scenario. Findings : It has been proved that as the 2020 economic crisis deepens, the imbalances in the world economy, expressed in the differences between developed and developing countries, increase. In 2019, developed countries showed 100.26% greater sustainability compared to developing countries. In 2020, under the optimistic scenario, the imbalance will increase to 119%, under the realistic scenario to 142.96%, and under the pessimistic scenario to 198.45%. Originality/value : It is justified that the 2020 economic crisis has a negative impact not only on national economies, impeding their sustainable development, but also on the global economy as a whole, increasing its imbalances. Therefore, in order to maintain a balanced world economy, it was necessary to combine the efforts of developed and developing countries to jointly manage the crisis and accelerate the resolution of the crisis.

Purpose : The purpose of the research is to test the hypothesis and scientific analytics of the pandemic COVID-19 as a new factor in the sustainable development of the economy in 2020, as well as to identify the prospects for managing this factor in the interests of maintaining sustainability. Design/Methodology/Approach : Statistics on the manifestations of sustainable development, the pandemic of COVID-19 and its factors in the top 12 countries with the largest number of deaths were analyzed. The method of regression analysis, firstly, determines the dependence of the manifestations of sustainable development highlighted in chapter 2 of this book on the proportion of deaths in COVID-19 by constructing regression curves. Secondly, a multifactorial model of the regression dependence of the proportion of deaths at COVID-19 from the selected potential factors - health care costs, the number of doctors per 1 thousand people was compiled population, number of hospital beds per 1 thousand people population, and R&D expenditure. Findings : It is justified that the pandemic is an independent (isolated from the economic crisis) as a new factor in the sustainable development of the economy in 2020, impeding economic growth. A scientific analysis conducted on the example of the top 12 countries with the largest number of deaths from COVID-19 revealed significant prospects for managing the pandemic as a factor in sustainable development. Originality/Value : Recommendations have been proposed to achieve zero mortality from COVID-19, suggesting an increase in health care costs by 159.20%, the number of doctors by 1 thousand people of population by 59.70%, and R&D expenditures by 9.38% for sustainable economic development.
