Role of Erythropoietin in Renal Anemia Therapy

Abstract: Renal anemia is a common complication of chronic renal failure caused by erythropoietin deficiency; targeting erythropoietin is a common approach to renal anemia treatment. This paper describes the role of erythropoietin and others drugs in renal anemia treatment, as well as the cause of erythropoietin resistance.
