Role of the Hemostasis System in the Development of Destructive Pneumonia in Children: A Bibliographical Review and Clinical Observations

Abstract: Complicated pneumonia in children remains an urgent problem in pediatrics because of increasing frequency of its current occurrence. The pathogenetic mechanisms of lung destruction have not been sufficiently studied as yet. The article presents an overview of current bibliographical data on the importance of the hemostasis system in the development of the infectious and inflammatory process in pneumonias. The clinical observations of various forms of destructive pneumonia in children are given as well.
