Root and Shoot Development on Cuttings of Basswood (Tiliaamericana L.) as Affected by Auxin Treatments and Size of Cuttings

Abstract: A population of saplings of basswood was studied to determine the effect of size of cutting and a 2-min basal dip in an aqueous solution of either indolebutyric acid (IBA), indoleacetic acid (IAA), or naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) on root and shoot development of softwood cuttings grown under intermittent mist.
