A 68-year-old man developed hallucinations following baclofen withdrawal. The man, who had refractory gastrooesophageal reflux disease (GERD), received increasing baclofen [dosage and route not stated] to supplement lower oesophageal tone, as well as erythromycin, ursodiol and metoclopramide. However, his symptoms were not relieved. He underwent a roux-en-Y gastric bypass. Whilst he was ordered to have nil per os, he developed baclofen withdrawal characterised by hallucinations [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated].
