Introdução: O acesso à água em quantidade e qualidade sufcientes, compatíveis com o padrão de potabilidade estabelecido na legislação é um direito humano fundamental. A carência de universalização desse acesso, bem como de saneamento básico gera impactos sociais e econômicos. Objetivo: Identifcar na literatura científca o que tem sido evidenciado sobre qualidade da água destinada ao consumo humano, distribuída coletivamente no Brasil. Método: Revisão integrativa da literatura realizada com 28 estudos selecionados na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) e Portal de Periódicos da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) no período de agosto a setembro de 2019. Resultados apresentados descritivamente e apresentados em forma de tabelas e fguras. Resultados: Foram obtidas duas categorias: 1. Fatores ambientais que interferem na qualidade da água – inconformidades quanto ao preconizado se relacionaram às ações antrópicas no meio ambiente; 2. Qualidade da água quanto ao padrão de potabilidade e vigilância – houve semelhanças entre os parâmetros microbiológicos, ﬂuoretação e turbidez. Conclusões: Foram encontrados poucos estudos sobre vigilância da qualidade da água destinada ao consumo humano, especialmente com abordagem sobre atuação nos estados e municípios brasileiros e estes reﬂetem difculdades no cumprimento de alguns parâmetros recomendados pela legislação referente a qualidade da água.

An adequate access to water supply systems is crucial for a sustainable future. Climate change is expected to increase water shortage problems worldwide. Reuse/recycling of treated wastewater for domestic and/or agricultural purposes can be considered an interesting water supply: it is independent from seasonal drought and meteorological variability and able to cover the peak of water demand. In the case of direct reuse, the parameter of treated water must comply with the reuse limits for biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand and suspended solids. In case of indirect reuse, the regulatory approach changes as the dilution ratio between discharge and flow of the irrigation canal is taken into account too. There are many interventions that are considered useful for the purpose of promoting the development of an enhanced water recovery and recycling: legislation improvements, modification in the water storage management, prevention in pollution discharged into sewerage systems, improving the efficiency of WWTPs, incentive the adoption of rainwater storage tanks and interventions for the separation of gray water, establish a “blue certificate” for financing investments. In the present paper those aspects are analysed referring to some cases found in an Italian region.

Rural population of Ukraine mainly consume water from wells and individual wells, which (in the vast majority) are in unsatisfactory technical and sanitary condition. For the estimation of the quality of the spring waters in some settlements of Mostyska district, the seasonal samples of were taken in Mostyska, Malniv, Gusiakiv, Pidhat, Volytsia, Nagirne, and Krukenychi. Biotesting of well water was carried out, water was analyzed according to physicochemical and bacteriological indicators. It was established that toxicity is higher than average in the villages Krukenychi, Gusiakiv, Volytsia and Malniv, and in Mostyska high toxicity. The content of nitrites and phosphates did not exceed the MPC in all investigated waters. The content of nitrates and ammonia in the spring waters of the investigated area exceeded the MPC in most settlements, with the exception of samples from the villages Pidhat and Nagirne. In addition, only spring water from the villages Nagirne and Pidhat meets the bacteriological indicators for the quality of drinking water.
