Objective: To analyze health education practices developed by health professionals of the Family Health Strategy team in the context of childhood poisoning. Method: Qualitative research, carried out during the months of July and August 2016, with 50 health professionals from nine Family Health Strategy teams of the city of Maringá-Paraná. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and, subsequently, submitted to the thematic content analyses. Results: There were different perceptions and living experiences among uniprofessional or multi-professional members of the team. Those were built by different professional categories that were working with families developing prevention activities about childhood poisoning. Those activities in groups of health education were intended to bring health professionals closer to the Users, through dialogue. Conclusion: Indeed, health education practices were based on the concept of first aids, and adopting a biomedical perspective. A little discussed of poisoning accident prevention during childhood showed that those practices were away from a dialogical health education. resumo Objetivo: Analisar as práticas educativas realizadas por trabalhadores da equipe da Estratégia Saúde da Família no contexto da intoxicação infantil. Método: Pesquisa qualitativa, realizada em julho e agosto de 2016, com 50 trabalhadores de nove equipes da Estratégia Saúde da Família de Maringá-Paraná. Os dados foram coletados por meio de roteiro de entrevistas semiestruturadas e, posteriormente, submetidos à análise de conteúdo temática. Resultados: Interpretou-se que houve diferenças nas percepções e vivências uniprofissionais ou multiprofissionais no trabalho com as famílias e no desenvolvimento de atividades preventivas para intoxicação infantil nas diferentes categorias profissionais. As atividades em grupos de educação em saúde foram vistas como aquelas que mais aproximam o trabalhador de saúde do usuário, por meio do diálogo. Conclusão: As práticas educativas estavam pautadas em conceitos de primeiros socorros, adotando uma perspectiva curativista, e pouco discutiam a prevenção dos acidentes e intoxicações infantis na perspectiva dialógica. Objective: characterizing the dissertations and theses available on Theses Database Coordination of Improvement of Higher Education Personnel that concern to the health of school teens. Method: this is a documentary research. Results: of the 927 identified studies, the final sample resulted in 174 studies, being the majority belonging to the Collective Health (18,39%). 33 studies (18.96%) characterized as doctoral thesis and 141 (81.04%) as Master's thesis. The State of São Paulo is more prominent in the productions, with 60 (34,48%) studies. About the themes stood out oral health with 21 studies (14,28%). Conclusion: the study showed the importance to investigate young people through the growing number of publications of dissertations and theses on adolescent health, contemplating the multidisciplinary team and the school as an important social facility for planning and executing activities that promote adolescents' health. Objetivo: caracterizar as dissertações e teses disponíveis no Banco de Teses da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior que versem sobre a saúde do adolescente escolar. Método: trata-se de uma pesquisa documental. Resultados: dos 927 estudos identificados, a amostra resultou em 174 trabalhos, sendo a maioria pertencente à Saúde Coletiva (18,39%). 33 estudos (18,96%) eram teses de doutorado e 141 (81,04%) dissertações de mestrado. O Estado de São Paulo foi o que mais produziu acerca do assunto, com 60 (34,48%) estudos. Sobre as temáticas, destacou-se a saúde bucal com 21 estudos (14,28%). Conclusão: evidenciou-se a importância de se investigar a população jovem através do crescente número de publicações sobre a saúde dos adolescentes, contemplando a equipe multidisciplinar e a escola como importante equipamento social para o planejamento e execução de atividades que promovam o adolescer saudável. Validation of an instrument to evaluate health promotion at schools

OBJECTIVE To validate an instrument designed to assess health promotion in the school environment.METHODS A questionnaire, based on guidelines from the World Health Organization and in line with the Brazilian school health context, was developed to validate the research instrument. There were 60 items in the instrument that included 40 questions for the school manager and 20 items with direct observations made by the interviewer. The items’ content validation was performed using the Delphi technique, with the instrument being applied in 53 schools from two medium-sized cities in the South region of Brazil. Reliability (Cronbach’s alpha and split-half) and validity (principal component analysis) analyses were performed.RESULTS The final instrument remained composed of 28 items, distributed into three dimensions: pedagogical, structural and relational. The resulting components showed good factorial loads (> 0.4) and acceptable reliability (> 0.6) for most items. The pedagogical dimension identifies educational activities regarding drugs and sexuality, violence and prejudice, auto care and peace and quality of life. The structural dimension is comprised of access, sanitary structure, and conservation and equipment. The relational dimension includes relationships within the school and with the community.CONCLUSIONS The proposed instrument presents satisfactory validity and reliability values, which include aspects relevant to promote health in schools. Its use allows the description of the health promotion conditions to which students from each educational institution are exposed. Because this instrument includes items directly observed by the investigator, it should only be used during periods when there are full and regular activities at the school in question.
