Scalar Triplet Leptogenesis with a CP violating phase

Abstract: We study baryogenesis through leptogenesis via decay of triplet scalars embedded in the Standard Model. We consider two triplets scenario where the vacuum expectation value developed by one of the triplets is complex. The coupling of the triplet Higgs with the leptons and the Standard Model doublet Higgs allows two decay channels, with branching ratios B L and B φ respectively. It is known that the hierarchy between the two branching ratios is sensitive to the generation of adequate CP violation and the effici… Show more

“…Since we have introduced Another important but unaddressed subject is baryogenesis, which is beyond the scope of this paper. We, here, note that thermal leptogenesis by heavy triplet Higgs particles [79][80][81][82] or Affelck-Dine baryogenesis by scalar condensations [83] appears to be promising.…”

“…In addition to the neutral component, the charged components of the triplet Higgs, ∆ + and ∆ ++ , play an important role at terrestrial collider experiments. Their phenomenological implications will be integral to the discovery of the Type II Seesaw Mechanism and the determination of its properties [57][58][59][60][61][62][63].…”
