“…In China, S. chinensis is officially listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia as a tonic and used extensively for treating chronic or acute diseases including viral or chemical hepatitis, high cholesterol, hypertension, hyperglycaemia, and atherosclerosis [ 6 ].
