Adaptation of new habits or new normal has a major impact in various sectors, including education. The learning process in all educational institutions either formal or non-formal, begins with blended learning, a combination of online and offline learning methods. By implementing health protocols, some educational institutions such as Taman Pendidikan Al-Qur'an (TPA) are conducting face-to-face learning, for example, TPA As Sakinah in Kopelma Darussalam, Banda Aceh and Balee Aleh Ba in Kajhu, Aceh Besar. The purpose of this study is to examine the adequacy of natural lighting and airflow in both TPA learning spaces. This study aims to assess the feasibility of learning activities to adapt to the covid-19 pandemic that still happens today. The method used daylight application to simulate and measure the adequacy of incoming light intensity. Based on observation data in the field, a threedimensional modeling simulation will be conducted for design improvement as an intervention in the adaptation of space functions with activities based on covid-19 pandemic conditions.

Anotacija Straipsnyje pristatoma mokyklinių pastatų raida, kuriai didelę įtaką darė tam tikros ugdymo paradigmos principai ir skleidžiamos naujos švietimo idėjos. Tyrimas yra tarpdalykinis, nes keliamas klausimas, kaip fizinė ugdymo aplinka atitinka ugdymo koncepciją. Tokio tyrimo, kai analizuojamas ugdymo pobūdis ir architektūrinė erdvė, svarba ne tik Lietuvoje, bet ir visame pasaulyje tampa akivaizdi keičiantis ugdymo koncepcijoms, kai esami pastatai pertvarkomi atsižvelgiant į pakitusius poreikius, o naujų architektūrinių švietimo objektų statoma labai mažai. Straipsnyje pateikiama laikotarpio iki 1940 metų Lietuvos mokyklų architektūros ir ugdymo nuostatų raidos bei sąsajų apžvalga platesniame kontekste, svarbi tolesniam tyrimui, siekiant išsiaiškinti, ar besikeičiantys švietimo uždaviniai, mokymo metodai keitė ir mokyklų pastatus.

The architectural design process is complex, as new technical, social, environmental and economical requirements are introduced, and this very scenario is applicable for school buildings. The quality of a school building depends on known design criteria, professional knowledge and feedback from building performance assessments. To attain high performance school buildings, the design process should add a multidisciplinary team via an integrated process. This article presents a design tool to structure a school building design briefing process. A participatory architectural programming phase is advocated and tested through a focal group, supported by a game called “Shuffle the School Building Design Deck” (SSBDD). The content of SSBDD and application procedure are based on known facts, needs and global concepts for learning environments in the twenty-first century. The briefing game considers the specific context of Brazil. Validation tests show positive results for productive architectural programming for school buildings. SSBDD has potential for global contexts, including translations for other building types.
