BACKGROUND: Urodynamic examination is recommended for patients with urinary disorders. In some categories of patients, it can be replaced by performing uroflowmetry in the patients usual home environment. AIM: development of recommendations for health care managers and urologists on the introduction of ambulatory uroflowmetric monitoring and its use in everyday clinical practice. MATERIALS AND METHODS: On the basis of the e-health laboratory of the Institute of Digital Medicine of the First Moscow State Medical University named after I.M. Sechenov, the Ministry of Health of Russia (Sechenov University) developed a unique method of home monitoring of uroflowmetry in male patients with symptoms of impaired urination using the wireless portable uroflowmeter Flowselfi developed in the Russian Federation. Based on experience, recommendations have been developed for the implementation of this method in clinical practice. RESULTS: Equipment for home uroflowmetry should be reliable, simple, intuitive, affordable, portable, and able to wirelessly communicate with a patients smartphone or tablet for data accumulation and subsequent transmission to a doctor for processing the results. The patient should have preserved cognitive functions and be motivated to perform uroflowmetry, understand its importance in further treatment. The article provides typical instructions for patients and urologists using ambulatory uroflowmetry at home. CONCLUSIONS: Ambulatory uroflowmetric monitoring (home uroflowmetry, outpatient home uroflowmetry) is a promising method of remote monitoring of patients requiring urination monitoring, including neurogenic and non-neurogenic urination disorders.

Nowadays, telemedicine services are widely used throughout the world. Various types of telemedicine services, such as the storage and transmission of real-time information, remote monitoring or self-control can be applied in the fields of education, health and management, disease screening and disaster risk management worldwide. Telemedicine can play a big role in conducting medical research, as well as in the field of training scientific personnel, allowing remotely collaborate with scientific and clinical institutions and gain access to expensive remote equipment. In this context, it is considered appropriate to develop and apply such innovative ideas as online computing models in telehealth applications; simplified software and hardware interfaces, programs for modelling; portable telepresence systems; artificial intelligence applications that are especially relevant in cases where simulated patients cannot replace real ones; and development of a large number of application simulators. The article represents the information that in the age of digital dentistry, virtual treatment planning is becoming an increasingly important element of dental practice. With new technological advances in computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) of dental restorations, predictable interdisciplinary treatment using a reverse planning approach appears to be beneficial and feasible. It is noted that thanks to achievements in medical imaging and computer programming, 2D axial images can be processed into other reformatted representations (sagittal and coronal) and three-dimensional (3D) virtual models representing the patient’s anatomy. It is shown that telemedicine occupies a special place among modern technologies in dentistry, which is used both for remote consultation and for the successful treatment of patients.
