Scoping Review: Rokok Sebagai Faktor Risiko terhadap Kejadian Karies Gigi

Abstract

Abstract. Dental caries is a disease of the hard tissue of the teeth where there is damage to the enamel and dentin, usually due to the interaction of saliva, microorganism products and food, causing tooth demineralization. The Global Burden of Disease Study 2016 Dental caries is experienced by almost half of the world's population, which is around 3.58 billion people and according to the 2018 Riskedas in Indonesia the incidence of dental caries is 88.8%. Many risk factors cause dental caries, one of which is smoking. This research uses a scoping review study to identify, analyze and evaluate scientific writing through Pubmed, Springerlink, and ScienceDirect data sources. From 2,967 articles were filtered based on inclusion criteria into 791 articles, then continued with filtration using the exclusion criteria were obtained 788 articles so that only 3 articles met the eligibility criteria based on PICOS and eligibility test using the JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist summarized in the PRISMA diagram. The analysis result of all articles show that people who smoke have a high incidence of caries marked by an increased DMFT score. The conclusion of this study shows that smoking has a relationship with the occurrence of dental caries.
 Abstrak. Karies gigi merupakan penyakit pada jaringan keras gigi dengan adanya kerusakan dari email dan dentin, biasanya karena interaksi dari saliva, produk mikroorganisme, dan dari makanan sehingga terjadi demineralisasi pada gigi. The Global Burden of Disease Study 2016 karies gigi dialami hampir dari setengah populasi penduduk dunia yaitu sekitar 3,58 milyar jiwa dan menurut Riskedas 2018 untuk di Indonesia kejadian karies gigi sebesar 88,8%. Banyak Faktor risiko penyebab karies gigi salah satunya adalah merokok. Peneltian ini menggunakan studi scoping review untuk mengidentifikasi, menganalisis dan mengevaluasi tulisan ilmiah melalui sumber data Pubmed, Springerlink, dan ScienceDirect. Dihasilkan 2.967 artikel dilakukan filtrasi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi terdapat 791 artikel, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan filtrasi menggunakan kriteria ekslusi didapatkan 788 artikel sehingga hanya 3 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria kelayakan berdasarkan PICOS dan uji kelayakan menggunakan JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist yang dirangkum dalam diagram PRISMA. Hasil analisis semua artikel menunjukkan pada orang yang merokok mengalami kejadian karies yang tinggi ditandai dengan skor DMFT yang meningkat. Simpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan kebiasaan merokok dengan terjadinya karies gigi.
