Screening acetylcholinesterase inhibitors from marine-derived actinomycetes by simple chromatography

Abstract: Acetylcholinesterase (AchE) is an enzyme involved in the metabolism of Acetylcholine [Ach] cholinergic synapses in the central and peripheral nervous systems. As a result, AChE inhibitors promote an increase in the concentration and length of Ach synaptic activity. Acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (AchEIs) are currently considered the best therapeutic agents for Alzheimer’s patients. The potential sources of the current AChE inhibitors are predominantly plants. However, some of these drugs are known to have dis… Show more

“…Plankton can eat microplastic, then plankton is eaten by fish, finally, fish is eaten by humans. This process causes microplastics to move from marine biota to humans (Kasamesiri & Taimuangpho, 2020). The dangers of accumulation of microplastics for human health, because they can interfere with health, such as disrupting the nervous, hormonal, and immune systems, and increasing the risk of cancer (Basri et al, 2021).…”

“…The complexity of water quality variables in intensive technology whiteleg shrimp ponds is known as an N compound other than nitrate. These compounds arise from the N cycle process, with some of the main ingredients being shrimp feed residues and shrimp faeces [84][85][86]. Tables 5 and 6 show that the ammonia concentration is higher in the dry season when compared to the rainy season in the coastal areas of BB and GT.…”

“…Research on the biodegradation of pollutants in the environment using microorganisms such as bacteria and fungi is still very wide open. It is an interesting research area, including its benefits in the future, to produce new findings in the context of environmental management [80,81]. This research is one of the series and developments of several previous studies carried out on carcinogenic PAHs in the theme of screening for hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria [12,82].…”
