Search for the rare decay of ψ(3686)Λc+p

Abstract: Based on a data sample of ð448.1 AE 2.9Þ × 10 6 ψð3686Þ decays collected with the BESIII experiment, a search for the flavor changing neutral current transition ψð3686Þ → Λ þ cp e þ e − þ c:c: is performed for the first time. No signal candidates are observed and the upper limit on the branching fraction of ψð3686Þ → Λ þ cp e þ e − is determined to be 1.7 × 10 −6 at the 90% confidence level. The result is consistent with expectations from the standard model, and no evidence for new physics is found.

“…The resulting η and η TFFs are in good agreement with experimental data in the singly-virtual [74][75][76][77] and doubly-virtual regions [78], as well as the fit results using Canterbury approximants [32]. Furthermore, there are some phenomenological constraints on the two-photon couplings for η(1295) [79,80], η(1405) [79][80][81], η(1475) [81,82], η(1760) [83], and X(1835) [81,83], where η(1475) and η(1760) are actually seen in γγ collisions, while for the others only limits are available. The detailed comparison depends on the assignment of these states into η and η trajectories, but the predictions of our model are compatible with either the assignment from [63,64] (our main choice) or the one from [84], see [62].…”

“…This is in particular the case of the combined chiral and 1/N C expansion [55,85,86]. Within this framework, our construction would apply to further processes, like η ′ → ηππ, which was recently studied in high-precision experiments [87][88][89].…”

“…In the present study we focus on the reactions involving hyperons in the final states. Data associated with hyperon electromagnetic form factors in the timelike region became also available in facilities such as BaBar [17], BES-III [18,19] and CLEO [11,12]. The available data cover the high q 2 region where we can expect to probe perturbative QCD (pQCD) physics.…”
