“…The number of in situ phytoplankton species (129) identified by microscopy was in the same order of magnitude as that observed in similar Mediterranean ecosystems (Draredja et al, 2019;Percopo et al, 2011) or in other coastal regions (Srichandan et al, 2019) using the same counting technique.
