This review indicates the main results ohtained during the last years concerning seasonal plant variations. The first part relates severa! physiological states of plants, or plant organs, according to seasons (rest period, dormancy, active period ... ). The other parts report cytological studies in different tissues in relation with their activity state and with climatic factors ( cold, drought. .. ). The rest period and the active period differ by topographie and structural characteristics of severa! cel! organelles (nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, plastids ... ) and by functional modifications ( enzymatic, mitotic and photosynthetic activities).
