According to Punithavalli et al (2014), in India, S. litura remains active from the end of July to October coinciding with a warm climate and also peak reproductive phases of soybean, causing 26-29% yield losses. Similarly, in Indonesia, armyworm is most abundant during the dry season 2 (June/July -September/October) which soybeans are mostly cultivated, and causing significant yield losses (Marwoto and Suharsono 2008).…”
