Abstract:As an adsorbent of metal ions, activated carbon is often used to purify sewage. However, activated carbon fibres typically show similar adsorption capacity for different metal ions. Salix psammophila fibre (Spsf) was used as raw material to prepare activated carbon fibres (SP-FAC). This was modified with nitric acid (HNO3) to obtain HNO3-SP-FAC (FACHNO3).
