“…These resins, called IP Photoresins, can be used to fabricate several technological devices, such as optical elements for the biological scaffolds. Other commercial matrices, such as Ormocer ® and Ormocomp ® , have been used to sculpt devices for photonics, optoelectronics, and biological areas [ 48 , 64 , 65 ]. However, many groups have developed their own samples, directing it to the desired application.…”

“…The device functionalization also can be performed after the complete laser fabrication procedure [ 65 , 90 ]. Figure 8 shows 3D metallic structures fabricated in a large area by TPP, using for this purpose a microlenses array that allows the fabrication of hundreds of devices simultaneously [ 90 ].…”

“…An activation-sensitization pretreatment is required prior to performing ELP, and the necessity has been exploited to achieve patterned plating. The most straightforward approach is to coarsen specific regions on the material surface by creating microstructures. , It takes advantage of the change in the capacity of the roughened surfaces to adsorb activating/sensitizing Pd catalyst, which induces subsequent ELP reaction. Although selective metallization can be achieved in this manner, the resulting accuracy and resolution are still not satisfactory.…”

“…Thus, ELP is a cost-effective and scalable approach for metal deposition onto 3D printed objects. Previous studies have demonstrated the fabrication of conductive metal patterns or layers on 3D printed objects using ELP. ,, For example, Yang et al fabricated various metallic structures via polyelectrolyte brush-integrated 3D printed structures and a subsequent ELP process . Magdassi et al utilized a unique copper complex ink as a catalytic seed for ELP and fabricated antennas on 3D printed commercial polymers .…”
