Self-determination theory and motivational interviewing interventions for type 2 diabetes prevention and treatment: A systematic review

Abstract: Treatment of those with obesity, prediabetes, and type 2 diabetes often yields initial health improvements, but gains erode over time. A systematic search of self-determination theory and motivational interviewing papers for the above populations was conducted, yielding 54 publications and 42 independent samples.
