Abstract:Background: Sepsis is a life-threatening organ dysfunction with high morbidity and mortality caused by impaired regulation of host response to infection. Because there is no confirmatory diagnostic test, the inpatients who develop sepsis may have delays in evaluation, testing, and treatment.
