Sex differences in occupational stress and work satisfaction among physicians

Abstract: This study examines sex differences in level and sources of experienced stress, as well as in antecedents and consequences of stress, in physicians. Two hundred and twenty‐eight female and 1859 male physicians completed questionnaires anonymously. Female and male physicians reported similar levels of overall stress and similar sources of stress.
