Ship-to-land broadband channel measurement campaign at 5.2 GHz

Abstract: Abstract-To investigate the broadband over sea wave propagation channel for communication and navigation applications, the German Aerospace Center conducted a broadband channel sounder measurements where the transmit antenna was mounted on a ship and the receive antenna was located on the land. Using this setup, measurements were performed for C-band at 5.2 GHz with a broadband signal of 100 MHz bandwidth. Results are given in terms of receiver height dependent power delay profile, delay spread and mean delay.
