“…On day 22, the serum concentrations of SHBG was 18% and the CBG levels 20% higher with 50/50 EE than with 40/30 EE. As 125 pg DG has been shown not to influence the elevation of CBG or SHBG induced by 7 or 14 days of treatment with 50 pg EE [ 17], the results indicate that at these doses the short-term effects of EE on serum binding proteins approach the endpoint. This is corroborated by the effects of combinations of 20 or 30 pg EE with 150 pg DG; on day 21 of one treatment cycle, the SHBG levels differed only by 16% and those of CBG by 12% [ 10], At the end of the cycle of treatment with both formula tions, LH and FSH were profoundly suppressed.…”
