“…This article ushered in the substantive use of queer theory in our discipline, mainly in scholarship about workplace gender and sexuality. Queer theory concepts have been used to study a range of organization studies themes, including: friendship at work (Rumens, ); leadership (Harding et al , ; Muhr and Sullivan, ); subjectivity and identity (Bowring and Brewis, ; Calás et al , ; McDonald, ; Ozturk and Rumens, ; Scurry et al , ); beauty, size and the body from a marketing perspective (Gurrieri and Cherrier, ); sex education organizations (Thanem, ); sexuality as a ‘silent’ element of workplace relationships (Beckett, ); gender and performativity (Baines, ; Billing, ; Tyler and Cohen, ); humour (Kenny and Euchler, ); and the relations between space and gender (Tyler and Cohen, ). Entretanto, apesar da aplicação de conceitos relacionados à teoria queer terem se consolidado nos estudos organizacionais nas últimas décadas, o debate acerca de seus conceitos e significados ainda necessita ser aprofundado.…”
