Silver chloride supported on Vitamin B1 ‐Organometallic magnetic catalyst: synthesis, density functional theory study and application in A3‐coupling reactions

Abstract: A highly efficient Fe 3 O 4 @VitB 1-Ag(I) magnetic catalyst has been obtained using surface modification of Fe 3 O 4. To this end, silver chloride was immobilized on Fe 3 O 4 nanoparticles via vitamin B 1 biomolecules. The synthesized biocompatible magnetic catalyst was applied in an A 3-coupling reaction in the presence of aldehyde, amine and phenyl acetylene under solvent-free conditions and afforded the desired products in excellent yields. Also, interactions between metal and ligand in the Fe 3 O 4 @VitB 1… Show more

“…To further assess the composition and chemical valence states, XPS experiments were conducted on 0.5Ag/1 . As shown in Figure a, the whole XPS spectrum of 0.5Ag/1 confirmed the existence of C, N, O, S, Cu, and Ag elements, which was consistent with the EDS and elemental mapping analysis results, and the mass fraction of Ag elements was 0.51% according to the ICP-OES results, and this result is lower than most similar reports ,, (Tables S3 and S4). The XPS spectra of C 1s could be separated into three peaks at 284.8, 286.64, and 288.85 eV, which corresponded to the CC/C–C, C–N/C–O, and the CO/CN bonds, respectively (Figure b).…”
