Silver phosphate supported on metal–organic framework (Ag3PO4@MOF‐5) as a novel heterogeneous catalyst for green synthesis of indenoquinolinediones

Abstract: A new Ag 3 PO 4 @MOF-5 catalyst has been synthesized and successfully applied in the green synthesis of a library of indenoquinolinediones via one-pot, multi-component reaction of aldehyde, indanedione and enaminone under solvent-free conditions at room temperature. The catalyst was characterized using various spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. The catalyst can be easily separated and exhibits significant recyclability, with insignificant loss of activity after four consecutive runs. The protocol… Show more

“…With minor modifications, MOF-5 was prepared according to a previously published technique. 64 Terephthalic acid (5.065 g, 30.5 mmol) and trimethylamine (8.5 mL) were dissolved in 400 mL dimethylformamide (DMF) in a usual manner to obtain a homogeneous solution. Zn (OAc) 2 ·2H 2 O (16.99 g, 77.4 mmol) was dissolved in DMF (500 mL) and added to the homogeneous solution gradually for a period of 15 min with steady stirring.…”

“…[33][34][35][36] In addition, due to the porous structure, the surface of Zn-based MOFs tends to greatly profit from generating the intimate interaction interface between Zn species and ligand. [37][38][39][40] Recently, some specific efforts have been made to design effective traditional-based MOF catalysts based on expensive metals. [38,41] Therefore, the utilizing of MOFs as catalytic materials is a novel strategy to develop organic chemistry methodologies.…”
