Simple data-driven modeling of brushes

Abstract: Figure 1: We create a dynamic deformable 3D brush based on measurements taken of actual brush deformations (top row). A small table of such measurements (see Figure 3) is enough to recreate the key deformation characteristics of a brush (bottom row), and the result is a fast, stable and realistic brush model for use in a digital painting system.
