Simulation and Experimental Research on Electrical Control Anti-backlash Based on a Novel Type of Variable Tooth Thickness Involute Gear Pair

Abstract: This paper presents an electrical backlash control method based on a novel variable tooth thickness involute gear pair (VTTIGP) through acceleration judgment. First, the principle, characteristics and theoretical tooth surface equation of the novel type of variable tooth thickness involute gear (VTTIG) are proposed. Compared with the traditional variable tooth thickness gear (VTTG), each transverse of the novel type of VTTIG has the same tooth root circle and the addendum circle. Therefore, there will be no in… Show more

“…In view of the key role and special requirements of NCPGT in transmission, it is more practical to analyse the transmission error of an NCG transmission system under eccentric error. Based on the incremental meshing line method [23] to [25] and Eqs. ( 15) and ( 16), the transmission error models of the two cases proposed in this paper are established respectively.…”

“…A review is made on this topic by Okorn et al [25]. Also, experimental research investigates the characteristics and increases the performance of the gear systems, such as the electrical control anti backlash method proposed by Wang et al [26] and the experimental study and numerical analysis on aviation spiral bevel gear made by Li et.al. [27].…”
