Simulation of dynamically reconfigurable wireless sensor node

Abstract: In this paper the use of dynamic reconfigurability is being explored. Here the commercially available reconfigurable device Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) is used for dynamic reconfiguration. The target device used here is Virtex-4 FPFA. The use of FPGA in Wireless Sensor Networks may reduce some of the major constrains of wireless sensor network such as larger bandwidth, input/ output constrains, flexibility and time-to market. This project gives the best use of reconfigurable device like FPGA in wirele… Show more

“…Runtime partial reconfiguration is medical application. Major reasons to shift to FPGA include the following aspects: improve execution time, increase in privacy, elimination of positive embedded constraintsrestrained power consumed, and precise event disturbance protection [7]. Along with these there is increase in control performance; execution time is decreased dynamically reconfiguring it.…”

“…They improved the efficiency of sensor systems by their architectural flexibility, re-configurability, processing capabilities, interfaces. They also perform many simple and complex functions [14] [15]. These types of sensors are usually used for high-speed applications that need online measurements.…”
