This paper reports the MEPS-HPLC-DAD method for the simultaneous determination of 12 azole drugs (bifonazole, butoconazole, clotrimazole, econazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, miconazole, posaconazole, ravuconazole, terconazole, tioconazole and voriconazole) administered to treat different systemic and topical fungal infections, in biological samples. Azole drugs separation was performed in 36 min. The analytical method was validated in the ranges as follows: 0.02–5 μg mL−1 for ravuconazole; 0.2–5 μg mL−1 for terconazole; 0.05–5 μg mL−1 for the other compounds. Human plasma and urine were used as biological samples during the analysis, while benzyl-4-hydroxybenzoate was used as an internal standard. The precision (RSD%) and trueness (Bias%) values fulfill with International Guidelines requirements. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first HPLC-DAD procedure coupled to MEPS, which provides the simultaneous analysis of 12 azole drugs, available in the market, in human plasma and urine. Moreover, the method was successfully applied for the quantitative determination of two model drugs (itraconazole and miconazole) after oral administration in real samples.

Background: Low back pain (LBP) is the main cause of disability. Eperisone is a centrally acting muscle relaxants. It is often used to alleviate musculoskeletal pain including LBP. This systematic review aimed to identify the Objective: effectiveness of eperisone in LBP. Systematic research was conducted by using PubMed and Cochrane with Methods: following terms to search: "eperisone", "low back pain and eperisone", "low back pain and muscle relaxant', "low back pain and antispasmodic", "randomized controlled trial eperisone", and "randomized controlled trial muscle relaxant". The quality of randomized controlled trial (RCT) study is assessed by using the Jadad score by and he selected studies t were reviewed by using PRISMA checklist as the guidance. There were 1389 citations from PubMed and Results: Cohcrane. After screening for title and abstract, irrelevant topic, availability of full text, duplication, the final result was 6 RCT. All studies have a great quality. Subjects in all study were patients with LBP. Eperisone in these study compared to eperisone with different dosage, tizanidine, thiocolchicoside, diazepam, or placebo. Thiacolchicoside was the most common comparison. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and Finger to Floor Distance (FFD) were the most common outcome measurement. Eperisone represents a good efficacy to treat LBP and has a better tolerability. Conclusion:

A facile, fast and specific method based on liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for the simultaneous quantitation of paracetamol, chlorzoxazone and aceclofenac in human plasma was developed and validated. Sample preparation was achieved by liquid-liquid extraction. The analysis was performed on a reversed-phase C HPLC column (5 μm, 4.6 × 50 mm) using acetonitrile-10 mM ammonium formate pH 3.0 (65:35, v/v) as the mobile phase where atrovastatin was used as an internal standard. A very small injection volume (3 μL) was applied and the run time was 2.0 min. The detection was carried out by electrospray positive and negative ionization mass spectrometry in the multiple-reaction monitoring mode. The developed method was capable of determining the analytes over the concentration ranges of 0.03-30.0, 0.015-15.00 and 0.15-15.00 μg/mL for paracetamol, chlorzoxazone and aceclofenac, respectively. Intraday and interday precisions (as coefficient of variation) were found to be ≤12.3% with an accuracy (as relative error) of ±5.0%. The method was successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study of the three analytes after being orally administered to six healthy volunteers.
