Simultaneous Determination of Six Chromones in Saposhnikoviae Radix via Quantitative Analysis of Multicomponents by Single Marker

Abstract: A method, quantitative analysis of multicomponents by single marker (QAMS), was established and fully verified based on high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for simultaneous determination of six chromone indicators of Saposhnikoviae Radix (SR). In the present study, cimifugin (C), 5-O-methylvisamminol (V), hamaudol (H), and their corresponding glycosides, prim-O-glucosylcimifugin (GC), 4′-O-β-D-glucosyl-5-O-methylvisamminol (GV), and sec-O-glucosylhamaudol (GH), were selected as bioactive constituents… Show more

“…If only one or two ingredients are used as quality evaluation indexes, it is difficult to reflect the true quality of traditional Chinese medicine, while the multi-index evaluation method can more comprehensively characterize the quality of traditional Chinese medicine [16,17]. erefore, the content determination of multi-ingredients has become the development trend of quality evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine [18,19]. A. persica flowers contain a variety of effective ingredients, of which kaempferol has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, and other activities [20][21][22][23].…”

“…It avoids the separation and purification of complex components [ 7 ] and greatly reduces the time and economic cost of quality control [ 8 , 9 ]. Moreover, this method, which improved the practicability and feasibility of quality control [ 10 ], is considered to be a better choice for quality control [ 11 – 15 ]. For complex plant products, it is not enough to control quality with a single or few ingredients so a comprehensive method is needed to control their quality.…”
