This study investigates whether problem-based learning (PBL) is used in preservice science teachers’ education, how it develops their pedagogical approach, and what they understand about PBL and its implementation in the classroom. The study utilized a systematic review of the related literature in the field of PBL, with a focus on preservice science teachers’ education. It used a specific search strategy to identify the literature following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, adhering to the PRISMA guidance and generating a flow diagram. In addition, the Mixed-Methods Appraisal Tool was used to appraise the quality of the articles. The results show that PBL is not fully utilized in preservice science teachers’ training and just a few relevant articles have been published in this area. The study reveals that PBL is an effective pedagogical approach in teaching and learning and preservice science teachers should be engaged in the process of learning by taking part in the PBL design process and experiencing it in the classroom as students of their instructors to learn from the process. Continuing professional development would help preservice science teachers to develop the knowledge and skills to design and implement PBL in their classrooms.

Students' worksheets (Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik/LKPD) are needed as alternative teaching materials in learning. This study aims to produce electronic students' worksheets (e-LKPD) based on creative thinking skills on the concept of environmental change. In addition, this study also aims to determine the level of validity, readability, and practicality of the Interactive e-LKPD developed. The research method used is Developmental Research using the stages of Akker et al which consists of 3 stages, namely: Analysis, Design and Development, and Evaluation Phase. Validity test results obtained an average percentage value of 90.06% with a very valid category. The readability test results obtained an average percentage value of 94.91% with a very positive category. The results of the practical test by biology teachers and students obtained an average percentage of 100% and 81.22%, with both categories being very practical. Based on the test results that have been done, it can be concluded that the Interactive E-LKPD is very feasible to use in learning activities. Therefore, the existence of interactive E-LKPD as a source of alternative teaching materials to develop students creative thinking skills in biology learning is in line with the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka (Freedom Curriculum).

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Internet of Things (IoT) integrated problem-based learning model on students' creative thinking abilities. This type of research is a meta-analysis research by evaluating the effect of the size of IoT-based problem-based learning models on students' creative thinking skills. Data search keywords are problem-based learning models; IoT-based problem-based learning model; and Students' creative thinking skills. Data collection techniques are through direct observation of journal databases and documentation. The eligibility criterion is that research comes from journals indexed by SINTA, Scopus and Web of Science; Research must be published in 2020-2024; Research obtained through mendeley database, google scholar, Researchgate; ERIC, and ScienceDirect, research related to the effectiveness of IoT-based problem-based learning models on students' creative thinking skills and research has complete data to calculate the value of effect size. Data analysis is a quantitative analysis by calculating the effect size value with the Microsoft Excel 2020 application. The results of the study concluded from 12 journals analyzed the application of the Internet of Things (IoT)-based problem-based learning model had a significant influence on students' creative thinking ability with an average value of effect size of 0.942 This finding provides important information for teachers, the application of the problem-based learning model exerts a high category of influence to improve creative thinking skills in the learning process.
