Sjögren’s Syndrome Treatments in the Microbiome Era

Abstract: Sjögren’s syndrome (SS) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by inflammatory cell infiltration of the salivary and lacrimal glands, resulting in acinar epithelial cell atrophy, cell death, and loss of exocrine function.
