Solid-Liquid Phase Equilibria in Binary Mixtures of Silicon Tetrachloride, Silicon Tetrabromide, and Tin Tetrachloride with Benzene, p-Xylen, and p-Dioxane.

Abstract: Solid-liquid phase diagrams have been obtained from time-temperature cooling curves for the binary systems of SiCU with benzene and p-xylene, and for SiBr4 with p-dioxane. Unlike CCU, SiCU does not form solid compounds with either benzene or p-xylene, but rather forms liquid solutions that are nearly ideal over the whole range of composition.
