Solubilities of 1,1′-(Butane-1,4-diyl)-bis(pyridinium) Dihexafluorophosphate in Acetone + Water from (278.15 to 328.15) K

Abstract: Using a laser monitoring technique, the solubilities of 1,1′-(butane-1,4-diyl)-bis(pyridinium) dihexafluorophosphate in acetone (1) + water (2) have been determined experimentally from (278.15 to 328.15) K at atmospheric pressure. The experimental data were correlated with the modified Apelblat equation and the λh model. The calculated results showed good agreement with the experimental data. The solubility of 1,1′-(butane-1,4-diyl)-bis(pyridinium) dihexafluorophosphate in acetone + water is higher than that i… Show more

“…15,16 "Bis-detergents" that contain pyridinium cations joined by an acetal linkage have also been synthesised and evaluated as agents for the cytosolic delivery of macromolecules. 16 However, little is known about the biodegradability of these species. Bis(pyridinium) ILs 9a-c, containing an acetal linkage with Cl -, NTf 2 and PF 6 anions, were synthesized and their biodegradation tested (see Table 2).…”

“…The experimental data were correlated by the modified Apelblat equation and the λh model. [22][23][24] To our knowledge, this is the first time the solubilities of [C 4 (MPy) 2 ][PF 6 ] 2 are reported.…”

“…There is a pressing need to develop better solvents for separation. The solubilities of ILs in different solvents have been investigated extensively. In this study, the solubilities of [C 4 (MPy) 2 ][PF 6 ] 2 in water, acetylacetone, acetophenone, cyclohexanone, 2-butanone, and acetone + water have been measured from (288.15 to 333.15) K by a laser monitoring observation technique at atmospheric pressure. The experimental data were correlated by the modified Apelblat equation and the λ h model. To our knowledge, this is the first time the solubilities of [C 4 (MPy) 2 ][PF 6 ] 2 are reported.…”
