Solubilities of Some Aminoanthraquinone Derivatives in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

Abstract: The equilibrium solubilities of four recently synthesized aminoanthraquinones in supercritical CO 2 have been measured over a temperature range of 308 to 358 K and a pressure range of 122 to 358 bar, using a simple static method. The solubility data were correlated by a semiempirical model. The calculated results show satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.

“…(5) for DB14 and DO11 with AARD are listed in Table 6. The AARD was 7.05% for DB 14 of 109 data points [19] and 15.4% for DO11 of 43 data points [20]. Note that AARDs of DB14 for the common solubility equations, including Chrastil [21] and M endez-Santiago and Teja equation [22], were reported to range from 3.2 to 6.3% by Kautz et al [19].…”

“…Supercritical CO 2 are that it is inexpensive, non-toxic and non-flammable, it can be recycled and it has easily accessible critical conditions by giving an option avoiding water discharge. This new cleaner waterless dyeing technology appears to be economically attractive for the textile industry [1][2][3][4].…”

“…Ferri et al [14] investigated four dye solubilities at the various temperatures and pressures with a flow method by using supercritical CO 2 . Shamsipur et al [4] tested solubilities of some recently synthesized aminoanthraquinones derivatives dyes over at a temperature range of 308-358 K and a pressure range of 122-358 bar using a simple static method.…”
