Solubility of β-Artemether in Methanol + Water and Ethanol + Water from (288.85 to 331.95) K

Abstract: The solubility of β-artemether in methanol + water and ethanol + water was measured over the temperature range from (288.85 to 331.95) K under atmospheric pressure using a gravimetric method. The experimental data were satisfactorily correlated with a modified empirical logarithmic equation. The experimental solubility data show good agreement with the calculated values. The relative average deviations (RADs) between the experimental and calculated values are less than 3 %.

“…Relative average deviation (RAD) was calculated using eq to assess the accuracy of models developed. The relative deviation (RD) between experimental data and predictions was also calculated using eq . The thermodynamic model with the lowest RD and RAD are preferred. where x 1 is the measured mole fraction solubility data, x 1 fit is the fitted mole fraction solubility by the models, and n is the total number of experimental points in different solvents.…”

“…The solubility data of b-artemether in water-ethanol system can be obtained from [12], and all calibration experiments are conducted in desaturated situation to avoid the occasionally nucleation phenomena. Three UV spectra were taken for each experiment, and the average value was used as the final raw UV spectrum.…”
