Soluble Epoxide Hydrolase Inhibitory Constituents from Selaginella tamariscina

Abstract: A novel norneolignan, tamariscinol T (1), and six known compounds, protocatechuic acid (2), vanillic acid (3), caffeic acid (4), amentoflavone (5), 2,3-dihydroamentoflavone (6), and 2 00 ,3 00 -dihydroamentoflavone (7), were isolated from Selaginella tamariscina. Their structures were elucidated using 1D/2D NMR, high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), and infrared (IR), ultraviolet (UV), and circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. The effects of the isolated compounds on soluble ep… Show more

“…[16] were synthesized boron and/or zirconium doped TiO 2 and investigated the effects of doped TiO 2 on photocatalytic activity and Sun Woo Kim etc. [17] reported that co-doping of sulfur and zirconium improves the surface properties such as surface area, pore volume, and pore diameter and also enhances the thermal stability of the anatase phase. On the other hand, Changneng Zhang etc., investigated the effect of Mg 2+ ions substituted into the anatase TiO 2 lattice on the charge recombination and band-edge movement [18] and Sofianou etc.…”

“…The enzymatic assays were performed according to the modified methods in the previous papers [16][17][18] . The 130 mL of recombinant human sEH (12.15 ng/mL) diluted with the buffer (BisTris-HCl, 25 mM, pH 7.0, containing 0.1 mg/mL BSA) was mixed with 20 mL of compound in MeOH, and then 50 mL of PHOME (40 mM) was added.…”

“…Nevertheless, AUDA was dissolved in dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) for in vitro experiments and in 2-hydroxylpropy -cyclodextrin for in vivo experiments. Moreover, they had side effects, such as a rapid decrease in their total quantity 9,15,16 . The objective of this study was to determine the various constituents of roots of R. undulatum and to test its inhibitory activity toward sEH.…”

“…Many approaches have been developed for constructing optical pH sensors, in particular fluorescent pH sensors and switches based in PET has attracted much research effort due to their obvious advantages of higher sensitivity and selectivity (25,26) . Most of them operate in the range of pH 5-9, but there are few optical probes sensitive in the low pH interval (pH < 3) (24,(27)(28)(29)(30)(31)(32)(33). Such low pH-sensitive sensor may be useful for determining the pH in strongly acidic media as in human stomach (pH = 1.0 to 3.0) or wastewaters derived from specific processes (pH = 0.8) where the use of pH glass electrode is not appropriated (34,35).…”
