Solunum Kas Fi̇zyoloji̇si̇ Ve Kas Gücü Ölçümü

Abstract: Respiratory muscle strength can be assessed noninvasively by measuring the forced vital capacity (FVC), vital capacity (VC), maximal inspiratory pressure (MIP or PImax), the maximal expiratory pressure (MEP or PEmax) and maximal sniff nasal inspiratory pressure (SNIP) tests. The MIP and SNIP reflect the strength of the diaphragm and other inspiratory muscles, while the MEP reflects the strength of the expiratory muscles including abdominal muscles and other expiratory muscles. Respiratory muscle strength can a… Show more

“…Trunk (core) muscles, which include the transverse abdominis, multifidus, diaphragm and pelvic floor muscles contribute to the stability of the spine [ 15 ]. Diaphragm muscle, which is one of the body stabilizations muscles, is also the most important inspiration muscle [ 16 ]. Physical activity and exercise have positive effects on lung function.…”

“…Isto porque, em condições normais, a expiração é passiva. No entanto, quando há um aumento da resistência das vias aéreas, a expiração ativa passa a ser executada na tentativa de superar a resistência ao fluxo de ar [34,35] e, nesta situação, portanto, os músculos expiratórios poderiam contribuir para a desobstrução das vias aéreas superiores [13].…”

“…Ribs play an important role in respiratory function. While it plays a role in inspiration through the internal intercostal muscles, it also plays a role in expirium through the external intercostal muscles [1]. Ribs are an essential component of the thorax; Injury can be seen in rib fractures, lung, mediastinum and other vital organs.…”
