Abstract:Benzyloxybenzene (BOB) and oxybis(methylene)dibenzene (OBMDB) were used as lignin-related model compounds (LRMCs). Three protic solvents (PSs), i.e., methanol, ethanol (E), and isopropanol, and two aprotic solvents (ASs), i.e., ethyl acetate and n-hexane, were selected to evaluate their effects on the catalytic hydroconversion (CHC) of the LRMCs over MoO 3 . Under the same conditions, the PSs are more effective for the CHC of LRMCs than the ASs. Under the optimal conditions in E, both BOB and OBMDB are comple… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
