Bi‐ and tricyclic derivatives 1 a and 2 a (Scheme 2) combining the catalytic N‐hydroxyimide NO−H unit with the imidazole moiety were designed as multipurpose derivatives and proposed as chemical tools for achieving improved homogeneous and heterogeneous aerobic oxidation catalysis. BDE tunability, formation of a ZIF and of imidazolium ionic‐liquid‐like materials were obtained for N‐hydroxyphthalimide (NHPI)‐based 2 a and here described.

Also, imide derivatives at 0.5 kg/ha preemergent gave slight (10–30%) control of weeds . On the other hand, quinazoline derivatives cause vasodilation in animals, , and in vivo, testing showed that this in vitro activity translated to animal models predictive of chronic diseases such as depression and inflammation. , As well as, several advanced malignant bacterial forms have emerged because inappropriate antibiotic use in one patient can result in the establishment of a resistant strain that spreads to other people, each with varying levels of resistance to a therapeutic agent. , Our study mainly focused on PBP2a of Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) that is fully resistant to all the ensuing generations of the β-lactam class of antibiotics, as exemplified by the penicillin structure.…”

We generated novel elven 1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalimides and tetrahydroquinazoline derivatives from 1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalic anhydride (1) in response to our interest in using the anhydrides to produce heterocyclic nitrogen compounds. The elemental and spectral analyses of the produced compounds validated the recommended configurations and MOE 2014.09 (Molecular Operating Environment) computations were used to perform their in silico analysis. The synthesized compounds have been analyzed and put through various experiments, including in vitro and in silico methods to assess their biological activity against Escherichia coli Penicillin-Binding Protein 3 (PBP3) and Staphylococcus aureus Penicillin-Binding Protein 2 (PBP2), among these compounds showing promising data as antibacterial drugs.

This work is devoted to the creation of new multifunctional quaternary phosphonium compounds (QPC) based on α‐imido(hydantoino)acrylates as new components of anticancer and antitumor drugs. The idea was to combine two active fragments in the structure of QPC. The reactions were carried out in stages without isolating the intermediate product. The first step is the α‐umpolung addition of nitrogen heterocycles to methyl propiolate catalyzed by triphenylphosphine, then triphenylphosphine was adjusted to an equimolar amount. The next step is the quaternization of triphenylphosphine with the resulting alkene in the presence of nitric acid. Antimicrobial activity against gram‐positive and gram‐negative bacteria, fungi, hemolytic activity, and toxicity were studied for the obtained compounds. It was found that the obtained compounds are largely biocompatible with low cyto‐ and hemotoxicity (IC50 ~ 50 µM and HC50 >200 µM). Some compounds showed good activity against HuTu 80 and MCF‐7 cancer lines with high selectivity indices.
