Some Factors affecting Breeding and Oviposition of the Red Locust, Nomadacris septemfasciata (Serv.)

Abstract: The red locust, Nomadacris septemfasciata (Serv.), is known to exist perennially in large numbers in a few areas and it is considered that a plague can start only when swarms escape from these outbreak areas, of which the most important are the grassy plains surrounding Lake Rukwa, in south-west Tanganyika.
