Abstract:Calcium-based adsorbents produced by biomass material is technically feasible, costly effective and advantageous to a certain extent in capturing CO 2 . Since the waste of a cockle shell is found to contain around 98% calcium, it can be a good source for CaCO 3 and yield CaO through the high temperature calcination process. The sorption equilibria of CO 2 on synthesized CaO with different amounts of water were measured experimentally by using a volumetric method at a temperature of 2°C. Under dry conditions, s… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
