“…In general, the PAS-R has been shown to be a reliable and valid index of anxiety in children of a preschool age. The internal consistency and test-retest reliability estimates of the social anxiety scale are in the 0.70 to 0.80 range, its scores are predictive of a clinical diagnosis of SAD, and correlate significantly and robustly with other measures of anxiety and emotional symptoms (Edwards et al, 2010;Stuijfzand and Dodd, 2017;Orgiles et al, 2018;Gudmundsdottir et al, 2019).…”

“…Although age and gender differences across countries vary, factorial validity seems rather stable: the assumed five correlated factor structure was supported in many studies (except for Benga et al [35]) in preschoolers [28,34,[36][37][38][39][40][41]. Other models that have been discussed are related to a single factor model, assuming that all items load onto one single anxiety factor, without differentiating between different clusters of anxiety.…”

“…Since the development of the PAS in Australia, the questionnaire has been evaluated [34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41] and used in anxiety research (e.g. [42][43][44][45]) across many different countries.…”

“…Para la realización del estudio se ha utilizado la Preschool Anxiety Scale (PAS) diseñada por Spence y Rapee (1999) y adaptada al castellano con el nombre de Escala de Ansiedad de Spence por Orgilés et al (2018). Esta escala está dirigida a la detección de problemas de ansiedad en alumnado de Educación Infantil, para edades comprendidas entre los 3 y los 6 años.…”
