Resultsof measurements of the heat capacity of the ternary molybdenum chalcogenides PbMo6Ss, and PbMo6Ses and of samples with small Fe content PbFexMo6Ss (x = O. 05; O. 1) are presented and discussed. A strong decrease of Tc and increase of the y coefficient without any change of lattice contribution is observed as a consequence of the Fe doping. These results and the known phonon spectra of the pure samples are used to compute the CL from the Cexp values and with it to determine the y coefficient. The dependence of the different phonon contributions, the 3' and h~_p coefficients, and the N(EF) value on the composition of the chalcogenides is discussed by comparison with results from earlier investigations and in connection with the critical parameters of the superconducting state.
