“…Five studies reported the association between OCT findings and secondary effects in retinal vasculitis [ 28 , 30 , 41 , 42 ]. In the first study, Monnet D et al conducted an analytical cross-sectional study of 80 birdshot chorioretinopathy patients (160 eyes) [ 28 ].…”

“…In addition, macular involvement has been frequently reported in recent studies since the advent of better imaging techniques, but there were not enough study samples. 1,4,25 By pooling all the current evidence, we found that macular changes occur in approximately 24% (95% CI [7%–45%]) of eyes with Eales disease; the most common of which was cystoid macular edema (15%, 95% CI [9%–22%]) and epiretinal membrane (12%, 95% CI [5%–21%]). Other macular changes reported were macular ischemia, internal lining membrane folds, hard educates, and macular holes.…”

“…Goel ve arkadaşlarının yaptığı bir çalışmada gözlerin %58,2'sinde makülada tutulum saptanmış, en sık nedenin maküla ödemi, ikinci sıklıkta da epiretinal membran olduğu izlenmiştir. [29] Bu olguların tanı ve takibinde OKT yararlı bir yöntemdir.…”
