“…The steady-state absorption spectra of PTB7 is changed to that of PTB7 •+ when it loses an electron under the condition of electric field. The main absorption bands are consisted of 800–1400 nm and beyond 1400 nm, which are similar with the absorption characteristic of P3HT •+ [ 27 ]. Here, we also identify the former as P2 transition absorption band, whereas the latter is referred as P1 absorption band.…”

“…The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurement of the MoO 3 film was tested using a scientific research service platform (Ceshigo Research Service, Chengdu). The spectroelectrochemistry measurement of photovoltaic materials was followed with our previous literature. , The oxidation potential for the PM6 film was 0.8–1 V, whereas the reduction potential of the PY-IT film was set at −0.8 V.…”

“…The authors elucidated how blending the P3HT polymer with phenyl C-61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) affected polaron formation in the polymer, by comparing well-mixed (as-cast) and phase-separated (thermally annealed) blends. The correlation between morphology of active layer and performance of polymer solar cells was investigated in [ 106 ] by spectroelectrochemical characterization of P3HT, PCBM cation and anion in varied active layers. Revealing the influence of polymer phase structures and the polymer-fullerene interface on the absorption spectra of the polarons was useful for understanding charge generation and transfer in polymer solar cell.…”
