“…The spectra of acetato complexes 2, 5, 8, 11, 13 and 18 showed two bands characteristic to the acetate group, the first in the range 1542-1566 cm À1 and the second in the range 1354-1400 cm À1 assigned to (C¼O) and (C-O), respectively. The difference between these two bands is in the range 170-201 cm À1 , suggesting that the acetate coordinates unidentate with the metal ions [23,24]. In the case of nitrato complexes 7, 10, 15, 17 and 19, a strong band in the range 1375-1384 cm À1 , as well as a weak band around 1288-1320 cm À1 , was assigned to unidentate nitrate [25].…”

“…Also, the lower shifted appearance of υC=N and υC-O bands verify the coordination sites. In the spectrum of the Fe(III) complex, two new bands appeared at 1384 and 1489 cm −1 and were assigned to υ sym and υ asym vibrations of bidentate nitrate groups [35]. Also, in the Mn(II) complex spectrum, the same appearance was observed with the bidentate acetate group appeared with a splitting shoulder of υ as (OCO) at 1491 and the υ s (OCO) appeared at 1342 cm −1 .…”

“…Also, the more or less unshift for the m(C=O) band reveals the absence of C=O group from participation in complexation. [8] of the Cu(II) complex. In the VO 2þ complex, the bidentate nature of SO 4 group was supported by the appearance of two bands at 1150(m 5 ) and 613(m 6 ) cm )1 .…”
